Kevin Felderhoff is an instructor at the John C. Campbell Folk School and will be performing a demo on turning a mini wood cowboy hat, along with showing the steps and techniques used to create a full-size wood hat.
He was born and raised in Muenster, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Construction Management from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Kevin has lived in Birmingham, Alabama, Gainesville, Texas, and currently resides in Brevard, North Carolina, where he turns and designs furniture as a hobby.
Kevin’s love for building and working with wood began during his high school years. While in high school, he built two roll-top desks, which sparked his passion for. woodworking. He was fortunate to have an exceptional shop teacher who taught him valuable woodworking techniques.
Kevin is well-known for his wood cowboy hats, wood-turned footballs, and flying winged vases, each showcasing his creativity and craftsmanship. He was also featured on Powermatic TV
here, and has been featured twice on Fox and Friends for his wooden cowboy hats and handcrafted footballs.
